Hooray for Ripon BID!
As we look ahead to Ripon Theatre Festival 2026, we want to take a moment to celebrate and thank Ripon BID for their continued support.
Take a look under the bonnet with us as we reveal our plans for the 2026 Festival. Meet Natalie Spanner in Fixing – our featured theatre event for the evening. A gloriously silly drag car maintenance class which shifts in and out of performer Matt Miller’s childhood memories. It’s a show about family breakups, learning car maintenance and choosing the right shade of lipstick to do it in.

As we step into 2026, Ripon Theatre Festival is setting off with a fresh look and a renewed sense of adventure.
Deadline announced for Community Acts to sign up for 2026. We are looking for choirs, dance troupes, theatre groups, musicians and solo performers to join us for our Family Weekend on the 11th and 12th July.
RTF is run by a small team of volunteers. We work together with our funders, venues and community partners to bring colour and culture to all the communities of the city, contributing to Ripon’s development as a vibrant place to live, work and visit.
RTF is the primary project of longstanding local charity, The Ripon City Festival Trust (charity number 514981).

It costs around £50,000 each year to stage the festival and run our Community Outreach Programme. We are very grateful to all those who have supported us in our journey so far, but of course we constantly need to find new sources of funding. As a registered charity, all the funding we raise goes directly towards making the festival happen.
