A wonderful experience from Spilt Milk Dance
This week we welcomed Split Milk Dance into four care homes in Ripon, and everyone has been having a blast!
Bloom was specially created for older adults in care settings, including those living with Dementia. With the aim of bringing “the outside in” through performance, the show featured birds, insects, flowers and weather to bring us all a little closer to nature.
The visit of Bloom to Ripon was made possible through grants to RTF’s Community Outreach Programme. Particular thanks to Arts Council England, The George A Moore Foundation, The Charles and Elsie Sykes Trust and to Ripon Charity Pantomime Group.
The five performers brought sunshine, smiles, music and dance direct to the residents. And a few tears were shed too!

This colourful, musical show ‘Bloom’ was brought to Sycamore Hall, Moor Lane Centre, Lister House and Borrage House.

Thanks to the staff at the care homes for looking after us, and to Helen Tabor for some fantastic photos.
