Hat makers come together for our Community Art Installation
After months of creativity, imagination and lots of wallpaper paste, our hat makers were finally able to see their gorgeous creations on display in Ripon Spa Gardens during Festival week.
Groups of artists from Jennyruth Workshops and Ripon Walled Garden met up with artist Sharon Hockin to celebrate the completion of the Hats project. RTF volunteer, Mike Spurgeon (pictured here with Sharon and the makers) had forged ingenious brackets to display the work in keeping with the bandstand’s Victorian style.
Hats off to everyone who worked so hard to create this unique and colourful display!
A sunny day allowed the makers to see their artwork and enjoy some time in the Spa Gardens too.
Some of the makers were interviewed by RTF videographer, Jon Garbett from Save the Dog Productions and Helen Tabor took some beautiful photos.
