Introducing our Storyteller in Residence

We are delighted to welcome Ilaria Passeri as our first ever Storyteller in Residence. Ilaria will be staying with us for three days, performing and running workshops for both adults and children.

“Ilaria has a knack for finding the bizarre in the mundane and weaving it into funny and touching stories. Her voice is original and engaging,” says Micheál Jacob, script consultant and former BBC TV comedy executive.

Ilaria will be performing Stand Up Stories as a relaxed twilight event at The Storehouse on Thursday 4 July and weaving magic with words and puppets at Ripon Library (Friday morning), in the front room of Wetherspoons (Saturday morning) and in the back room of The Little Ripon Bookshop (Saturday afternoon).

Adults are invited to Ilaria’s Short Story Writing Workshop in Ripon Library on Friday 5 July – just bring a notepad and pen and learn how to turn real-life experiences into material for imaginative short stories.

Tales from Honeypot Village will feature funny and interactive stories for children aged 4 years and up, with loveable characters Rita the Mouse and The Tidy Trolls.

You can see all of Ilaria’s events here.  And do get in touch if you would like Ilaria to run a creative writing session in your school.

Thanks to the Trustees of Ripon Library for supporting the events there.
